My review before was about Lincoln, a film about a president of U.S.A. who fought against slavery of black people. Now, I am reviewing a film with similar theme, slavery of black people, that is Django Unchained. Same theme, maybe., but absolutely different taste.
Two white people go through a forest riding their each horse. Behind them, some chained black people walk in one line. Django is one of them. He has terrible scars on his back, because of whip. Suddenly a horse-cart comes from opposite direction. That is a German gentleman who rides it. He then stops by. The German man looks for a slave who ever met Brittle Brothers then he asks every slaves there. Finally he is sure that Django is the one he looks for. He wants to buy Django but Django's master refuses to sell. Then in the blink of eyes the German man shoots Django's master. One of the two dies. So then the German man picks Django , and lets the other slaves free.

After this, the adventure of Django begins. The German man's name is Dr. King Schultz, a prize hunter by killing the fugitives that disguises as a dentist. Django becomes his partner, and as the return, Schultz will help him finding his wife, Broomhilda.
I think Django Unchained is the simplest film from Quentin Tarantino. Quentin famously is known as a weird-taste director. He has dark comedy sense in his every movie. He usually takes many references on his movie from other movies. Many symbols in his films. So we need to have many references and more thinking to understand Quentin's works. But, in Django Unchained, Quentin looks humble. I conclude that Django Unchained is just another spagheti-western movie. There are no such surprising plot, a twist, or any special things else.
But, applause should be given to acting performance in this movie. Instead of the main character, the compliment is deserved to the supporting actors. They are Christoph Waltz and Leonardo Dicaprio. Waltz did it again like his cool acting in Inglorius Basterds. The characters on both films has similarities, a chatty person but can kill people savagely. The difference is Waltz's character in Django Unchained isn't racist :D.
Another credit should be given either to Leonardo Dicaprio. Leo succeded in depicting a charming but brutal person,Calvin Candie. Leo played it with various emotions. Sometimes he is a nice guy, but in another time full of anger man. I wonder why great actor like Leo never gets Oscar till now. At least by this movie, Leo deserves a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, in fact he didn't. Does Oscar hate him?
Beside two actors above, Samuel L.Jackson did good joob here too. He succeded annoying me. Maybe his character is the real antagonist one not Calvin Candie. His character is a black guy who doesn't care about other black people. The best part of this movie is when three actors, Waltz, Leo, and Jackson appear. Jamie Fox looks inferior here.
Like I said before, Django Unchained is 'the light one' from Quentin. The last part of this movie is chessy and useless, it loses its climax. But, Quentin's fun is still there. Blood spreads everywhere, vulgarity, weird soundtrack, dark rough comedy, and Quentin's cameo that can satisfy Quentin's fans.

Django Unchained: 7/10
